Weymouth Town Council - Westham North

I have been a local councillor every year except 1 since 1993. I started representing Westham North on Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and stayed in this position until I was mayor in 2006/2007. Due to an illness I did not fight the election in that year but this gave me the chance to fight the DCC elections the following year when I gained the ward representing Westham West and Westham North in 2008 and stayed on the council until the re-organisation in 2019. I the last few years I was chairman of the audit and governance committee, the one committee the opposition were required to chair. After reorganisation I returned to Westham North and was elected to serve on the town council who elected me as its first leader as the Lib Dems are the biggest party.

I am married to Jenny and have two grown up children, and have lived in Southill since 1990. I love gardening and walking.
